“I love chicken wings. During the decade that I lived in Toronto, I ate my weight in “suicide” wings every year. I’m already dreaming about what the city’s best wing-men and wing-women will bring to the competition. That said, when you combine great wings with craft beer—and put a whole lot of pride on the line—everybody in attendance is a winner.” – Bob Blumer

The Toronto Wing Festival is pleased to announce the esteemed Judges panel:

“Fearless” Fred Kennedy hosts weekday afternoons on Toronto’s 102.1 The Edge radio as well as TV Friday nights on Teletoon At Night during the Fred@Night block.  He has a wife that is too good for him and a baby that owes him a lot of money.  Then there’s his cat, that cat is a total jerk. Really. The worst.  Also, Fred likes chicken wings because a chicken killed his father during the Boer War.  To him eating wings is a form of vengeance.
Nobu “Wing Machine” Adilman is best known to foodies and gluttons alike as one third of the cult hit Food Network Canada extreme cooking show Food Jammers. He’s also played one of the nefarious Flappy Bird Brothers on Trailer Park Boys, and let’s just say he method acted those “munchies”. These days, when he’s not busy behind-the-scenes of Canada’s number one interview show George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight, or co-directing Toronto’s pop song singing choir! choir! choir!, he likes to kick back and say things like: “It’s no thang but a chicken wang.” He also likes to eat with his fingers, so you better give him some wings…or he’ll eat his fingers.

Doug Smith Take 18 years covering the NBA and the Toronto Raptors and more than 30 years in the newspaper business covering events across North America and around the world and that adds up to a lot of nights in a lot of saloons eating a lot of chicken wings. Doug Smith of the Toronto Star may not be the world’’s foremost expert but he’s got a lot of experience to, um, bring to the judge’s table.
